Snow

This is day 5 of straight snow. Today we are really getting dumped on; there’s about 10″ of snow on the ground, and it’s still coming down.

Kristi is supposed to go out of town today on a business trip, but it’s going to be dicey getting off the hill.

We took the kids sledding on the 145th St. hill. It was a lot of fun. The Flexible Flyer is a real speed demon, even with me and Brett aboard.

We have weathered the second power outage of the storm. On Sunday, it went out from 1:30 to 8:30pm when a tree fell on the line. Today, it went out around the same time, but was back on by 4pm. They also closed 158th (?) between 145th and the fork in the road today.

I drove into town yesterday and today. Yesterday, the roads were clear and wet. Today, they are packed and white. It’s really a significant change. The AWD Highlander did just fine getting around.

Kristi is in the process of delaying her trip. Because of the power outage, it feels a little more dangerous to have only one adult around. She’s now scheduled to go out first thing tomorrow morning.

They’ve closed school again for Thursday.
