Much as I predicted, it got clear and cold again almost exactly a month after the solstice. The snow disappeared under 3 or 4 days of rain, and then the wind ripped through one night, and for 3 days, it’s been clear again. It was 25ยบ in the valley when I drove to work on Friday. And the Moon, Venus, and Jupiter have been making a very pretty trio in the early evening sky.
The fog was so thick that I could see individual droplets wisping by like smoke as I waited at the traffic light commuting in to work.
