Cold snap

True to form, when the clouds cleared away in Seattle this weekend, the bottom dropped out of the temperature.

Overnight lows were in the high 20’s, and daytime highs were in the mid 30’s. Parts of the lawn never quite defrosted, as they are covered in shadow all day (apparently).

The threat of snow never materialized (as I suspected it wouldn’t, being clear out and all), and when the clouds finally did roll back in Monday morning, the temperature shot up into the 40’s and 50’s.

Steven’s Pass had a November opening for the first time in 35 years. Wow.

Welcome to winter in Washington.
