Box canyon

Our stuff was delivered to the new house today. Once again, we are surrounded by stack after stack of boxes. Even with the stacks scattered throughout the house, it’s a bit imposing. We have quite a task ahead of us.

One interesting thing is that I never really paid attention to how much larger the house in Bellevue was than the houses we had in CA, nor to the fact that the new house is bigger still. But as we dumped all our worldly possessions into the new house and I wandered around looking at the stacks, I can definitely tell that there’s just a lot more space in the new place.

There are rooms that have no boxes in them.

The contents of our garage fit into the new shop with a bunch of room to spare.

It doesn’t diminish the task ahead — it’s going to take awhile to get moved in.

It feels good to know that my stuff is there, even if it’s hidden behind cardboard.
