Rooster redux

We’ve got another rooster.

I’m 90% sure it’s “Amber”, the very pretty Rhode Island Red (or is it the Buckeye?). I’ve been admiring those green tail feathers for several weeks now, and over the weekend, I finally heard the fateful sound; someone’s crowing.

In probably unrelated news, we’ve gotten our first 5 eggs out of the coop. There are at least 3 hens laying. One assumes the eggs are unfertilized, but who knows at this point? 🙂
