For some reason, the grey Ameraucana chick is much larger than any of the other 3. We’ve dubbed her “Porkchop”. Her yellow sibling is the guard chick of the coop; she gives everyone the evil eye when you get close. She reminds Kristi of the angry chick from the movie Hop, so we’ve dubbed her “Carlos”. The two Wyandottes haven’t really impressed us with differing personalities yet, so they are, for the moment “The Zebra Twins”.
Everyone is starting to get wing feathers, and there is a lot of flapping and peeping. Hunter eats any chicken poop that makes it onto the floor. Gross.
