Boots on the ground

Well, we’ve arrived in Washington.

After 3 days on the road and 2 nights in Clearwater, my little troop is settling into corporate housing. This has not been without its problems. The kids are pretty wigged out; Brett’s lost his toilet training and Lucy is choosing this time to see how much sass she can get away with. I figure they’ll settle in pretty soon once we get our new daily routine going. We shall see.

The apartment is nice, pretty well appointed. The lack of an assigned parking space is going to be a constant irritation, I can tell. I look forward to having things a little more settled.

I finally have enough spare brain cycles to start being nervous about starting at Expedia on Monday. I’m sure everything will be fine, but I am now realizing that it’s time to start proving myself all over again.

A few small things are still on the to-do list, but we plan to spend this weekend settling in and doing a little Seattle tourism with the kids.

Welcome to the Evergreen State, troops.
