So my transfer cable finally showed up yesterday. I am now the prouduser of a 60Gb drive on the 360, nstead of a 20Gb drive.
So here’s the thing.
I had a 20Gb drive, right? and I had ~3Gb left (3.2 or so). So when I copied to the 60Gb, I would expect (unless my math is failing me (: ) to have ~43Gb free.
Note that the instructions make big noise about how anything that’s on the new drive will be lost after the xfer, although, given it’s M$, I’m expecting that what’s secretly happening is “xcopy C: D:”.
So I do the whole xfer, boot up and look at my HDD free…
36Gb.
So now I’m looking for whatever garbage they’d put on the thing that I hadn’t bothered to clear off because I thought they were reformatting. And there’s like 6-8 videos and a bunch of XBLA games and… grr.
So I went through and deleted most of that junk (although I kept the very cool looking Forza video), but I’m still at 39.9Gb free. I want my 4 gigs back.
